the joys of unstable
upgrading gxine from 0.4.1-1 to 0.4.7-0.1. what happened can be read in the Debian BTS.

update: 3 1/2 hours (!) later on sunday night (!) upstream (!)
writes: "I'm releasing 0.4.8
now...".
update: soon afterwards the new package entered unstable.
